Apple launched iOS 10 to the public today, and while every iPhone user must be psyched that they can lastly erase the “Stocks” app, the download process briefly turned some individuals’s phones into shiny, worthless bricks.
A quick search on social networks, like the one site did, reveals that dozens and dozens of iPhone and iPad users were afflicted. When these users tried to set up the over-the-air update of the latest os on Tuesday early morning, their devices uselessly secured.
Impacted users were advised to link their devices to iTunes to restore the software and finish the upgrade.
” Wow. iPad pro update stopped working,” a single person tweeted. “I do not even know if I have iTunes or a totally free USB port!”
Apple confirmed that there had been a concern in a declaration to Recode:
” We experienced a short problem with the software upgrade procedure, affecting a small number of users during the first hour of schedule,” the business discussed. “The issue was quickly dealt with and we ask forgiveness to those customers. Anybody who was impacted should connect to iTunes to complete the upgrade or get in touch with AppleCare for help.”
